Remembering Mother Augustine Kersh Butler: A Model of Love and Loyalty

Welcome to my blog and a blog of tribute from HMC, "All About Mother Butler". It's where I will be posting from time to time and invite you and others to add your thoughts and tributes as often as you like.

Mother Butler was always young at heart and quite innovative. I thought... I will do my tribute and resolution in a digital presentation format.

So here we go. A dedicated blog posting site honoring Mother Augustine Butler.

Born to be a woman who would make her mark as a great wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, but most of as a loving and loyal woman of God.

Anyone who has ever met her and spent any amount of time with her would know that you were in the presence of one of God's best.

She never looked down on anyone but always looked at what was good about the person.

I describe her in my eulogy in this manner:

The Beatitudes and the Beauty of Mother Augustine Butler: A Giant in the Kingdom of God...

For this first post, I will recite a few beatitudes from the gospel of Matthew, Chapter 5: 5-9

When you read these beatitudes, you will clearly see and say... Now, that's Mother Butler or you may say, that's my Mama or that's Mama T, or the many names of endearment that she has been referred to.

5 Blessed "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth."

6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
